Anthony Zatorski is an Australian Baritone and Composer based in New York City. Anthony received First Class Honours in Classical voice at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, studying with Cheryl Pickering.
This continues on from his music scholarship at Brighton Secondary School, where he received the Year 12 Subject Award for Performance Special Studies and the Outstanding Achievement in Music Award. Anthony has also learned French Horn under the instruction of Philip Paine and was involved in the Elder Conservatorium Wind Orchestra. As a freelance performer, Anthony has performed in a number of high-profile situations, including singing for Prime Minister Julia Gillard, performing in the Pantheon in Rome, St Nicholai in Jessen, Germany, and is a performer of New Music, and collaborates with composers and artists from other disciplines as well as being a composer himself.
As well as a performer Anthony is a Vocal teacher and teaches both privately and within schools in Adelaide and New York City. In 2013, he was cast as the titular role of Noye in the Adelaide production of Benjamin Britten’s Noye’s Fludde, working alongside Dr. David Kram as musical director. In November/December of 2013, Anthony performed as a soloist internationally, performing in China, Germany, Czech Republic and Italy in high profile locations.
In 2014 Anthony performed with performers Andrea Bocelli, Delta Goodrem, and The Rolling Stones. Anthony was also the lead of the Elder Conservatorium's Opera 'Cox and Box' playing the role of Mr. Cox. Anthony was also one of the soloists for both the Adelaide productions of the Mozart and Faure Requiem Masses.
In 2015 Anthony was one of the soloists for the Adelaide Festival Production Of Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton singing 'This is Halloween' with Danny Elfman himself. Anthony was also a featured soloist in the Festival or Architecture and Design in the Hidden Sounds concert, curated by Gabriella Smart, and the Soundstream Collective, singing works by John Cage, Georges Aperghis, and Glück. As a composer this year, he composed the vocal soundscapes and was the vocal coach for the play Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl, performed by the Foul Play theater company.
In 2016 Anthony was the lead role in the Offenbach Operetta La Perichole playing the role of Piquillo. In July Anthony had his work #SocialMedia premiered by Clarinetist Samuel Bertino at the Omaha Under The Radar Arts Festival in Nebraska, United States of America. Anthony was the baritone for the Soundstream Emerging Composers Forum, premiering 2 new works.
In 2017, Anthony has composed a new work for the Adelaide Fringe Show "Dances for a small stage" collaborating with flamenco dancer Emily Mayes. Anthony is preparing for a range of concerts this year featuring voice, toy piano and other instruments.
